Siemens has released a new Vectron locomotive for Captrain. It is the third one of its type with DE/AT/HU/PL/CZ/SK/RO for this freight operator this year. It is part of an order of six of which the last three units will be handed over in 2018. These three machines will additionally be homologated for the Netherlands.

On 27.04.2017, two new Vectron locomotives left the Siemens plant in Munich; the designated 193 781 and 782 were delivered to Captrain-company ITL, that already operates six such machines. Like these 193 891-896, the two newbies are configured for services in Germany, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania (DE/AT/HU/PL/CZ/SK/RO).
Rail Business brings the new that Captrain/ITL will again get six new machines, so its Vectron fleet will double. One more will come later this year, no. 10, 11 and 12 will be handed over in 2018. The latter three will also get an homologation for the Netherlands too.

Seen today in Eisenach, and portrayed by Sebastian Winter and Marcus Schrödter: the new Captrain / ITL 193 895 and 896. This means the series of six Vectron locomotives in the fleet of Captrain is complete (193 891-896).

Thanks to Sebastian Winter and Jens Mittwoch we could show you the first run after delivery of the new Captrain / ITL 193 894. The machine went to the ITL workshops in Pirna and got its Captrain design during the past week. As of 19.07.2016, the machine is used for revenue services. Thanks Patrick Holzbach and Mike Röntsch.

Not one, not two, but three new Vectron locomotives were released from work on 28.06.2016. The pictures show the virgin white 193 894, 895 and 896, all soon to be added to the fleet op Captrain Deutschland's subsidiary ITL. The batch will bring the number of machines of this type, multy system locomotives all fit for services in DE/AT/PL/CZ/SK/HU/RO, to a total of six.
The only things that are missing? Some lime green stickers of course, and the Captrain logos.

On 19.01.2016, the third Vectron MS was deliverd to Captrain/ITL and transferred to Pirna. At this Captrain workshop the white locomotive got its lime colored vynils and Captrain logos were applied. Today it had its first run with a freight train. The locomotive ran to Dresden to pick up a Porsche-train and took it to Leipzig-Wahren. (Johannes Mühle / Felix Nigbur)

Today, the future ITL/Captrain 193 893 completed a test run. It will be delivered this month, as planned, and join Michael and Jérôme. The multisystem machine with DE/AT/HU/PL/CZ/SK/RO package and REV 11.01.2016 is still white. (Michael Raucheisen)

ITL Eisenbahngesellschaft mbH (ITL), part of the Captrain Deutschland group, will soon operate three Siemens Vectron multi system locomotives. The first two were officially handed over on 27.08.2015. The Vectrons will be serviced in Pirna, so Siemens will train local staff for this purpose.
A third Vectron locomotive will delivered early 2016. All three machines will have the country package DE/AT/PL/CZ/SK/HU/RO. ITL will predominantly use the new machines for international freight services between Germany - Poland and Germany - Czech Republic. There is an option for three more locomotives. (ITL / Captrain)
On the early morning of 28.08.2015, the first two machines (193 891 and 892, rev 05.08.2015) left the Siemens factory in Munich. Soon they will arrive in Captrain's depot in Pirna were they will get Captrain logos (see impression) and staff training will commence. An image of the transport to Pirna (Andreas Meier):
