Koleje Mazowieckie, passenger operator in the Warsaw area, ordered two double deck trains from Pesa in February 2014. These trains will supplement the 11 rakes and locomotives, delivered by Bombardier a few years ago.
The order comprises of two 3kV DC electric locomotives (Gama), 20 double-deck intermediate coaches and two double-deck driving cars. It was the first order for Pesa electric locomotives.

Rynek-kolejowy.pl has an item about the official presentation of the new double deck trains built by Pesa. The Sundeck coaches and the Gama locomotives were officially handed over to KM today. The standard composition will be driving trailer + six intermediate coaches + locomotive. As KM will get 22 new Sundeck coaches in total, these will also be operated in combination with the Bombardier Twindexx coaches that KM already has. The Sundeck driver trailer has 85 seats, an intermediate car 130. The trains have a maximum speed of 160 kph.

On 30.12.2015, Pesa completed the delivery of two Pesa Gama locomotives and 22 Sundeck double deck coaches to Polish operator Koleje Mazowieckie. Delivery before the end of the year was crucial to be able fund these trains with European money.
Nicolas Biały took images of the two new electrics and their rakes on 28.12.2015. Pesa gave these machines the designation '111Eb'. The second locomotive however now also has a (short) NVR number on its nose: 5170 059-7.
Koleje Mazowieckie Gama 111Eb-001 went on a trip today. The colorful locomotive was on its way to Zmigrod test center, together with three new Pesa coaches: driving trailer 316B-001 and intermediate coaches 416B-001 and 416B-002. From Pesa in Bydgoszcz to Poznan the train was pulled by diesel locomotive M62-1843, from Poznan to Żmigród it ran by itself. A big thanks to Łukasz Piotrowski for the image.
No we did not forget about the new Pesa locomotive. The presentation of Pesa's new 111Eb-001 for Koleje Mazowieckie was (colorwise) the biggest news of last week. Together wath a Pesa ('Sunroof') double deck coach it was present last week during the 2015 edition of the Trako fair. Extra: A bird's eye perspective on all rolling stock in the video. Expected for August, but Pesa now says these locomotives will be delivered in December. This image shows one of two Gama machines for Koleje Mazowieckie. Test runs at the test tracks of Żmigród, with coaches an driving trailer, should start by the end of this month.

rynek-kolejowy.pl reports: The delivery of two new Gama locomotives and 22 double deck coaches, by Pesa, to Koleje Mazowieckie, is slightly delayed. In August 2015 the trains had to be ready, but clearly this deadline is not met.
Pesa states that by the end of this month, a composition of driving trailer, intermediate coach and a locomotive will be available for test runs at the Żmigród test center. The trains should be ready and delivered next December.

Rynek Kolejowy brings you the first pictures of the Pesa Gama locomotive for Koleje Mazowieckie (KM). Two locomotives were ordered in February 2014. We see an empty body with the colorful livery of KM. It is expected that the first locomotive is available for test in the third quarter of 2015.
