In the Autumn of 2013, open access operator Rheincargo (DE) took on the delivery of five new Traxx F140 DE locomotives. These five locomotives where taken from stock by Bombardier. The new DE801-DE805 where outshopped earlier that year as 76 103-107, sporting a plain silver livery with white nose sections.
76 103, 104 and 105 where transported to the HGK workshops in Brühl-Vochemon on 01.10.2013. After some test revenue services and applying new Rheincargo logos, the three machines were officially presented on 21.11.2013. |

They will finally take over the container shuttles now pulled by class66 locomotives. Let us start with this nice image taken in the Rotterdam harbour area. Currently, train drivers are being trained on the Traxx DE no.DE801. Soon this type of locomotives will be used frequently in freight services from Germany to the Netherlands vv. - HZ

 On 18.12.2013, two Traxx DE locomotives for Rheincargo left the Bombardier factory perimeters in Kassel. The former 76 106 and 76 107 will become locomotive no.4 and 5 in the fleet of Rheincargo. We assume they will get service number DE 804 and DE 805. - CK

In January 2014, Rheincargo will get the remaining two Traxx DE locomotives that it has on order. Yesterday, '285 115' made a test run from the Kassel factory. This morning '285 116' did the same. These machines were previously numbered 76 106 and 76 107. - CK

This morning, Rheincargo presented the first three of five Traxx F140 DE locomotives it has recently purchased from Bombardier. The presentation took place at the HGK workshop in Brühl-Vochem. Here the new machines will get their service and maintenance from now on. In the Rheincargo-fleet, the new locomotives are numbered as DE800 series.
The three machines presented today:
Bombardier 34842 - RheinCargo DE801 (92 80 1285 112-9 D-RHC)
Bombardier 34843 - RheinCargo DE802 (92 80 1285 113-7 D-RHC)
Bombardier 34844 - RheinCargo DE803 (92 80 1285 114-5 D-RHC)
[update] In January 2014, Bombardier will deliver two more locomotives to Rheincargo. Currently, former 76 106 (285 115) and 76 107 (285 116) are being prepared for delivery in Kassel. Rheincargo will use the new locomotives predominantly for container services to Rotterdam, Köln and Düsseldorf. Next, one machine will come to Rotterdam [NL] for driver training and instruction. - HdJ

Meanwhile, Rheincargo (HGK+NE) is operating three silver Traxx DE locomotives. It concerns the three units that were transported to the HGK workshops last month.
The temporary 'French' numbers (76103, 104, 105) have been removed. The three new machines only run under their new NVR numbers: (92 80 1) 285 112, 113 and 114 (D-RHC). - DSO
In Kassel two other locomotives got new numbers too. There is also a 285 115 and 285 116 with D-RHC marking now. - CK

On 01.10.2013, Bombardier 76 103, 104 and 105 arrived at the workshops of Häfen und Güterverkehr Köln (HGK) in Brühl-Vochem. Note that the locomotives still carry Belgian NVR numbers.
