This is the new livery of BLS 465 001, featuring the new BLS logo with mountainscape. It commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Lötschberg base tunnel (LBT) with the slogan "Mehr DurchZug". The locomotive was presented as such on 23.06.2017. Photo: Michael Krahenbuhl

[EU] SNCF Logistics acquires 45% stake in BLS Cargo
On 16.02.2017 the news was published that SNCF Logistics, responsible for logistics and freight transport within the SNCF Group, as been selected by BLS Cargo as its new partner. SNCF Logistics will acquire 45% of the shares in BLS Cargo, if the deal is approved by the competition authorities. BLS remains the majority shareholder with a 52% share. The remaining 3% is property of the Ambrogio Group (IMT).

As of 01.07.2016, BLS locomotive Re 465 008 has a new livery, promoting the Swiss 'Patenschaft für Berggemeinden'. The machine was presented as such that day at the main station of Zurich. It also got a new name: 'Allegra'. - Charles-André Flückiger

BLS Cargo will hire four Re465 series electrics to railCare from Switzerland: Re 465 015-018. The first one is ready for its new duties and got a complete new livery, it is now white and has the Cat's Eye motive, just like Railpool 186 101. - FP
