[BE] SNCB 1305 still exists; and has left the scrapyard again

[BE] SNCB 1305 still exists; and has left the scrapyard again
in March 2016, SNCB/NMBS 1305 reached its final destination, we thought, when the machine was transported to the scrapyard of Ecore in Aubange (BE). But the locomotive, or what remains of it, still exists. Recently we received a link to the image above showing the heavily damaged electric being moved away from the scrapyard again, to Salzinnes, our sources say. Presumably the body is still containing parts that can be recovered and be re-used on other machines of this type. So the 1305 will live a little longer, for now. - LS/ID

[BE] SNCB 1305 at the scrap yard
Wallorail.be reports: Currently the Belgian railways are clearing out the Salzinnes workshops. Locomotives of various types and epoches are landing at the Ecore scrapyard in Aubange (BE). Also seen there is the crash locomotive from Beuveille (FR): SNCB 1305. Since its accident on 14.01.2016, the locomotive was directly taken to the scrap yard where it got all its all re-usable parts stripped off. Now it awaits its final destiny.

[BE] NMBS/SNCB 13 series is not doing well...

update 2012|07|08
[BE] NMBS/SNCB 13 series is not doing well...
Curious: This year the HLE13 series of the Belgian railways (NMBS/SNCB) suffers from many accidents. Since the beginning of the year, already 5 units have been damaged or even destroyed. And it's only July.
On 05.07.2012, the engine room of 1326 was destroyed by fire in Epioux.
11.05.2012, locomotive 1318 was completely destroyed after a crash with a chemical train in Godinne. On 19.05.2012, we saw these images of recovering the remains of the engine.
04.05.2012, two freight trains collide in the tunnel of Lahage. 1334 and 1340 are involved. Again a chemical disaster was avoided here.
20.04.2012, 1308 and 1318 (again!) collided with 40 kph in Anvers. Especially the 1308 looked bad here.
With the delivery of the new HL18 locomotives, the 13s are predominantly used by NMBS Logistics, the freight division of the Belgian railways, which is not doing well in general. It currently suffers from money shortage and plans to sell HLE77/78 series diesel locomotives to solve this. Question is who wants to buy these machines...
