On 21.02.2012, Ferrovia Adriatico Sangritana S.r.l. (FAS) and Bombardier signed a contract for the delivery of two TRAXX DC locomotives. During a Railcolor visit to the Bombardier works in Vado Ligure (IT), we were able to watch both units under construction. The red and grey livery of both machines is similar to the Minuetto trainsets, FAS currently operates. The colors of the fronts resemble the Italian flag. On 29.06.2012, both the 483 030 and 031 completed their maiden run from Vado Ligure to Genova. |

Sometimes a new locomotive comes out of nowhere. A big surprise to us is the delivery of a new Traxx locomotive to Ferrovia Adriatico Sangritana (FAS). The images show the new 483 032, the third of this kind for the operator, during its presentation in Lanciano.
Note that the machine sports TUA markings: Transporto Unico Abruzzo, the new authority for the whole public transport (including freight traffic operated by Sangritana) managed/funded by Region Abruzzo. The 032 also has green shields of the Region Abruzzo.

As reported before, Ferrovia Adriatico Sangritana S.r.l. (FAS) from Italy is using its E483 locomotives for transporting vans from Fossacesia to Bologna. A nice impression of such a transport. PC
BTW, within a week or so, Bombardier in Vado Ligure will deliver two new Traxx locomotives to Ferrotramviaria.

Yesterday, the two new Traxx locomotives for Italian operator Ferrovia Adriatico Sangritana (FAS) completed their maiden run. 483 030 and 483 031 ran from the factory in Vado Ligure to Genova-Sestri Ponente. Their livery resembles that of other FAS Minuetto-trainsets. - FdA/MB
