 Logistik Service GmbH (LogServ), subsidiairy of Voest-Alpine from Austria ordered two ES 64 U4 locomotives in 2008. Like the machines running for the Vogtlandbahnen/ALEX, these multi-purpose locomotives are homologated for Germany and Austria only.
On 29.06.2011, LogServ acquired a third locomotive from Siemens, that belonged to the stock fleet up til then. LogServ already hired the machine since 2010 for additional services. It was delivered and repainted as 1216 932. A fourth machine was added to the fleet during the summer of 2012. This time, 183 701 'Train of Ideas' was purchased and integrated into the fleet as 1216 933. Since June 2013, CargoServ is officially the name of the rail operator of the LogServ organisation.

 CargoServ from Austria has published the news that it now officially has all the permits required to be a independent rail operator in Austria. In April 2012 the company got the service permit, in April 2013 the necessary safety certificate was granted to the subsidiary company of LogServ GmbH.
In the press statemant, CargoServ also announces that it will acquire one new locomotive this year. The purchase is being prepared right now. - MB
Railcolor: CargoServ now operates ES 64 U2-080, 081 and 082 plus 1216 930-933. The new locomotive will be the eighth electric in the fleet. Also three V100 locomotives are operated by CargoServ.

 183 701, to locomotive with plenty ideas, is sold to CargoServ. The operator from Austria, which is an independent rail operator since April 2012, now owns four ES64U4 locomotives. Siemens will hand over the 701 to CargoServ in September or October 2012. It first need a repaint of course. - Siemens/Logserv
In the past months, 183 701 was not used for services anymore. It was parked in Linz (see picture). In the beginning of July 183 701 was seen in a CargoServ transport, and now we know why. - DSO

LogServ, mother company of railway operator CargoServ, hired the red painted locomotive 183 702 from Siemens since 2010. On 29.06.2011 the company decided to buy the locomotive. It is the third ES 64 U4-locomotive for LogServ.
In the days before the deal was closed, the 183 702 was repainted in the work shops of Linz. It now has the welknown yellow and grey CargoServ livery and a new service number: 1216 932. An image of the fresh 1216 932 can be found here. Curious is that the 'swoosh' on the visible side (cab 2 > cab 1) is put on backwards.. This is not the case on 1216 930 and 931.

OBB 1216 226 and SZ 541-001 are performing trials in the Czech Republic, 541-001 used for Ex-services Prag und Brunn until next sunday. Appearanly, the 541-001 broke down, the machine is not used for the tests. - Bahnforum.info
LogServ 1216 930 and 931 delivered on 27.10.2008 / 03.11.2008. Both machines represent the ES64U4-G configuration of the platform and are painted in the CargoServ colour scheme. - railbusiness.de

These two Siemens ES64U4 type machines will be delivered to Logserv in the upcoming months and replace ES 64 U2-005 and -040, both rented from MRCE-Dispolok. ES 64 U2-040 will then be retrofitted with a Bosporus-package and renumbered as ES 64 U2-072. - GA/bahnforum

At this moment, in the workshops of Linz, the 61st and 62nd ES64U4 locomotive are under assembly for new Siemens' customers.
Number 61 is painted blue with a dark grey frame, to be delivered to MGW services. MGW has one such machine on order.
LogServ has ordered two ES64U4s for its subsidiary CargoServ, of which the first one is also painted and ready for its final assembly. Locomotive number 62 is painted in the exact same way as the machines CargoServ is currently hiring from MRCE-Dispolok.
 Next to these new locomotives, also 1216 025 could be seen in Linz. A picture was made.

Like the machines running for the Vogtlandbahnen/ALEX, these multi-purpose locomotives will not be equipped for running under DC voltage systems, as they predominantly will be used in Germany and Austria.
