Between 1997 - the roll-out of the 145 001 for DB Cargo, and 2002, the delivery of 146 031 for DB Regio - ADtranz has built 134 monocourant electrics that afterwards have set the basis for what we know now as the Traxx platform. Except for 145 001-010, which were built in Berlin Hennigsdorf, all electrics based on the 145 series paltform were assembled in Kassel, Germany. A supplemental 135th body was built in 1998, replacing the damaged one of DB Schenkers 145 013, after it had a shunting accident. A 145 series based machine is a locomotive for 15kV Ac voltage systems only.
